Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials are likely to take the next step of freezing all bank accounts held by arrested Mollywood actor Dileep.
Dileep was arrested by the Kerala Police which took close to five months to make the arrest after the February 17 abduction and molestation (in a moving car) of actress Bhavana which shocked the entire entertainment industry in the country. It later turned out that Dileep arranged the abduction and molestation apparently as an ‘act of revenge’ against the actress.
Dileep has since been lodged in a jail in Aluva, which happens to be his hometown. Emerging out of the Court which remanded him to 14-days’ judicial custody, Dileep said he didn’t feel scared as he hadn’t committed anything wrong. It turns out that Dileep didn’t cause harm to Bhavana not only out of personal vengeance but also for a ‘huge’ sum of money to the tune of Rs.62 crores.
Pulsar’ Sunny, the main accused in the case who told the police about Dileep’s involvement in the case, reportedly spilled the beans that Dileep would have got Rs.62 crores had the abduction-cum-molestation been ‘successful’ as a ‘hawala gang’ based in Dubai is said to have ‘asked’ Dileep to carry out the assignment.
